“Daeshun Ruffin is an exciting player and high-energy point guard whose specialty is scoring and shooting. He thrives in the open floor for easy baskets. He can be a big disruptor on the defensive end when he picks up a ball-handler in the backcourt. An ESPN 100 prospect, he’s a dynamic player and will be a crowd favorite at Ole Miss.”

Athletic Excellence

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound senior guard led the Chargers to a 10-1 record and the Class 5A quarterfinals this past season. Also a McDonald’s All-American, he is a First Team All-State selection and played in the Allen Iverson Roundball Classic. He is ranked as the nation’s No. 40 prospect in the Class of 2021 by ESPN.

Ruffin has maintained a 3.11 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball on scholarship at the University of Mississippi this fall.
