“As an opposing coach, I think Carson presents a unique challenge to stop her remarkable skill set. Carson has developed into such a dynamic player that she’s no longer limited to only one way of beating you. If you play her tight, she’ll use her power and quickness to turn on a dime and you’ll be left in the dust. If you choose to lay off her, she’ll square you up and blow by you with top-level speed. Carson is as talented and composed a forward as any male or female athlete I’ve seen on a soccer field and, unfortunately for us, she’s only a junior.”

Athletic Excellence

The 5-foot-4 junior forward led the Bulldogs (18-3) to the Class 3A state title this past season. Bohonek scored a school single-season record 46 goals, passed for 11 assists and was named captain of the Class 3A All-Tournament Team. She netted a hat trick in the state championship game and finished with five goals and an assist in Bettendorf’s tournament run. A two-time First Team All-State selection and an ECNL National Selection Game invitee during club season, she also owns Bettendorf’s 100-meter dash record with a time of 12.22 seconds.
