The 5-foot-11, 150-pound senior set a meet record in winning the Maryland Private School State Championships Large School Division race this past season with a time of 15:41.3, breaking the tape 7.4 seconds ahead of his next-closest competitor and leading the Panthers to 10th place finish as a team. Tenney also won the Maryland Independent Athletic Association Class C Conference Championships by nearly two minutes. He finished 49th at the Nike Cross Southeast Regional Championships.
Tenney has maintained a weighted 4.47 GPA in the classroom. He has made a verbal commitment to attend Johns Hopkins University, where he will run cross country and track, beginning this fall.
A member of the Pallotti High drumline, Tenney is a lifeguard at the Montpelier Community Association Pool. He has volunteered locally as a peer tutor and a school retreat leader, and he has also donated his time to multiple community service initiatives through his church youth group.
