“Bonemer is one of the most exciting power-speed combinations in the 2024 prep class. He has plus power potential, plus speed and solid skills on the left side of the infield. He has more than enough arm strength for either shortstop or third base, with sound body control and glovework. He could ultimately outgrow the middle infield and fit better at a corner, where he could be an above-average defender. He’s a first round MLB Draft talent.”

Athletic Excellence

At the time of his selection, the 6-foot-1, 199-pound senior shortstop had led the Wolves to a 20-8 record this season and a berth in the Division 1, District 9 semifinals. Bonemer batted .435 with seven home runs and 32 runs through 28 games. He swiped 17 bases in 19 attempts and compiled an OPS of 1.387 along with a fielding percentage of .957. A participant in the MLB Prospect Development Pipeline League, he’s the state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year and is ranked as the nation’s No. 3 prospect in his class by Baseball America.
