The 6-foot-3, 215-pound junior quarterback passed for 3,329 yards and 41 touchdowns this past season, completing 64.9 percent of his attempts and throwing just 3 interceptions while leading the Tigers (13-1) to the Division 1 state title game. Rated as the nation’s No. 1 prospect in the Class of 2025 by 247Sports, ESPN and On3 ELITE, Underwood also rushed for 199 yards and seven touchdowns, gaining 6.6 yards per carry. A finalist for Mr. Football in Michigan and a two-time state champion, he was the MaxPreps 2021-22 Freshman and 2022-23 Sophomore National Player of the Year.
Underwood has maintained a 3.18 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
Underwood has volunteered locally at Detroit’s Capuchin Soup Kitchen during the holiday season and has also donated his time with his team washing cars and serving food at Culver’s Restaurant. He has also served as a youth football instructor and coach.
