The 5-foot-5 senior won four individual championships at the Section 3 championships this past season. The state’s reigning Gatorade Player of the Year in girls cross country, Rauber broke the tape in the 400-meter dash, the 800-meter run, the 1500-meter run and the 2000-meter steeplechase. Her season-best time of 6:45.53 in the steeplechase ranked as the nation’s No. 2 performance among prep girls competitors in 2021. Rauber also clocked the nation’s No. 4 time in the 5000 (16:32.62), No. 5 in the 1500 (4:24.34) and No. 6 in the 3000 (9:38.89).
Rauber has maintained an A average in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to run on scholarship at North Carolina State University this fall.
Rauber has volunteered locally on behalf of the Friendly Acres 4-H Club, Helping Hounds Dog Rescue and youth running programs.
