Athletic Excellence

The state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year, the 5-foot-10 senior forward led the Bulldogs to a 24-0 record and a second-straight Class AAA state championship this past season. Murphy scored 41 goals and passed for 23 assists, including one of each in Bearden’s 3-1 win over Houston High in the state final. The 2022 United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Year, Murphy is a four-time First Team All-State selection. She concluded her prep soccer career with 110 goals and 54 assists.

Academic Achievement

Murphy has maintained a weighted 4.17 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a national letter of intent to play soccer on scholarship at the University of South Carolina this fall.

Exemplary Character

Murphy has volunteered locally on behalf of a food bank and with the Salvation Army. She has also donated her time as a youth soccer and basketball coach.
