The 5-foot-10, 145-pound senior won the 5000-meter run at Nike Outdoor Nationals with a time of 14:26.72, which ranked No. 7 nationally among prep competitors in 2023. DiCola also broke the tape in the 3200 at the Class AAA state meet in 8:47.39, which ranked No. 13 nationally. He also ranked among the nation’s top 15 prep performers this spring in the 1600 (4:06.58) and the mile (4:04.14), the latter of which was the second-fastest time in history by a Pennsylvania prep.
DiCola has maintained a weighted 4.75 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to compete on scholarship at Penn State University this fall.
DiCola has volunteered locally as part of multiple community service initiatives through his school’s Key Club and National Honor Society. He has also donated his time to a pen pal program in association with a local elementary school.
