“I think Brandi Thomsen is the best player in the state right now. She’s strong, fast, athletic and she never stops running. She likes to take people on, but she’s a great passer too, and she’s such a fierce competitor.”
Rob Lestina
Head Coach of Kettle Moraine High

Athletic Excellence

The 5-foot-10 senior midfielder had led the Lancers to a 16-1-1 record and the Division 2 semifinals at the time of her selection. Thomsen scored 15 goals and passed for eight assists through 18 games. A First Team All-State honoree, she was the Greater Metro Player of the Year and was also named Player of the Year by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Academic Achievement

Thomsen has maintained a 4.33 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer on scholarship at the University of Cincinnati this fall.

Exemplary Character

A devoted member of her church community, Thomsen has volunteered locally on behalf of youth summer camps.
