Athletic Excellence

The 5-foot-10, 140-pound junior broke the tape at the LHSAA Division I State Championship this past season, clocking the meet’s fastest all-class time in 14:50.60. Mullen followed that up with a Second Team All-Region performance at the Nike Cross Nationals South Regional Championship, finishing ninth overall. The state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year, he was unbeaten by an in-state runner in 2023 and won the Nike XC Town Twilight Invitational Race of Champions with a personal-best time of 14:59.80 for 5K.

Academic Achievement

Mullen has maintained a 4.64 weighted GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.

Exemplary Character

A practiced guitar player and singer, Mullen has volunteered locally on behalf of annual holiday initiatives serving those in need. A member of the Mu Alpha Theta mathematics honor society, he has also donated his time to the Big Brother program at his school.
