The 6-foot-5, 185-pound senior point guard led the Storm (23-4) to the Class 6A state title this past season, averaging 18.1 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. Howell did not lose a game to an in-state opponent in his prep career since moving to Idaho from Oregon two years ago. Ranked as the No. 1 recruit in Idaho by 247Sports, he was named the 2025 Class 6A Tournament MVP.
Howell has maintained a 3.9 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play basketball at Rice University this fall.
Howell has volunteered locally on behalf of Meridian Food Bank. He has also donated his time as an instructor at youth basketball camps.
