Athletic Excellence


The 6-foot-2, 170-pound senior midfielder and forward scored 32 goals and passed for 13 assists this past season, leading the Blue Devils (15-2-1) to the Class A state championship game. The state’s returning Gatorade Boys Soccer Player of the Year, Hersi is a two-time United Soccer Coaches All-American. He was also a First Team All-State selection, the Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Player of the Year, the Maine Sunday Telegram Player of the Year, the Maine Soccer Coaches Player of the Year and played in December’s High School All-American Game.

Academic Achievement


Hersi has maintained a B-plus average in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer on scholarship at Siena University.

Exemplary Character


Hersi has volunteered locally as an Islamic studies teacher and a youth soccer coach.
