The state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year, the 5-foot-10 senior outside hitter put down 547 kills with a hitting percentage of .325 this past season, leading the Hawks (29-6) to the Class 6A state title. Beus is ranked as the nation’s No. 17 recruit in her class by PrepDig and was an AVCA First Team All-American selection. A three-time First Team All-State honoree, she recorded 224 digs, 45 service aces and 40 blocks in her final prep campaign.
Beus has maintained a weighted 3.51 GPA in the classroom. Taking advantage of NCAA early signing rules, Beus inked a financial-aid agreement that paved the way for her to enroll at the University of Kentucky, where she will play volleyball. She graduated from high school in December and will attend classes in the spring semester.
Beus has participated in a humanitarian trip to Brazil in association with Liga Solidaria, engaging in a mentorship role with children at an orphanage. Since returning, she has organized the delivery of sports equipment to the orphanage and launched a fundraiser on its behalf a year ago.
