Athletic Excellence


The 6-foot-6, 195-pound junior guard and forward averaged 21.5 points and 11.3 rebounds per game this past season, leading the Yellow Jackets (10-15) to the Class 6A state tournament. Dunning also recorded 3.1 assists, 2.1 steals and 1.8 blocks per game. A two-time Class 6A First Team All-State selection, Dunning was named to the 2021 Super All-State team by the Alabama Sports Writers Association. He is ranked as the nation’s No. 44 recruit in the Class of 2022 by ESPN.com.

Academic Achievement


Dunning has maintained a 3.06 GPA in the classroom and represents one of the state’s top academic candidates in meeting the Gatorade award’s broad criteria. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.

Exemplary Character


Dunning has volunteered locally at the James Seals Community Center and the Ronald McDonald House of Mobile, and he has donated his time as a youth basketball coach.
