“Azzi is a fantastic player and I think she is an awesome candidate for Gatorade Player of the Year. Her talent at this level is something that I have not seen in a long time. She has an all-around game and her shooting is impeccable.”

Athletic Excellence

The 5-foot-11 freshman guard led the Lady Cadets to a 32-2 record and a District of Columbia State Athletic Association championship this past season. Fudd averaged 24 points, 5.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.8 steals per game while shooting 50 percent both from the field and behind the 3-point arc, helping the Lady Cadets win their fourth DCSAA title in five years. The first freshman in history to win Washington Catholic Athletic Conference Most Valuable Player honors, Fudd was also named DCSAA Tournament MVP after scoring 22 points with eight rebounds in the championship game.

Academic Achievement

Fudd has maintained a weighted 3.85 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her sophomore year of high school in the fall.

Exemplary Character

Also a standout flag football player whose team, the Arlington Fusion, won the 2017 NFL FLAG Girls’ National Championship, Fudd has donated her time as a youth mentor.
