The 5-foot-11, 160-pound senior forward scored 49 goals and passed for 15 assists this past season, leading the Gators (24-3-2) to the Class 4A state championship game. The Class 4A Player of the Year, Torres played exclusively for his club team until joining the Gators during his junior season. This year, he recorded 15 multi-goal games, including two games with four goals and one game with five.
Torres has maintained a weighted 3.66 GPA in the classroom. He will pursue a professional soccer career in Mexico beginning this summer.
Torres has volunteered locally as a peer tutor for both French and Spanish language learners, and he has donated his time as a youth soccer coach.
