“Amari is, hands down, the best player in the state of Idaho at all levels. She is physically stronger and jumps higher than any of the girls she plays against. She obviously lives for the game of basketball and it shows on the court.”

Athletic Excellence

The 5-foot-10 junior point guard led the Bobcats to a 24-1 record and the Class 4A state championship this past season. Whiting averaged 26.9 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 5.7 steals per game, including a 25-point, 11-rebound effort in a 58-43 win over Skyline in the state final, which earned her tournament MVP honors. The leading scorer in school history (boys and girls), she netted a team single-game record 44 points this season and concluded her junior year with 1,910 points in her prep basketball career.

Academic Achievement

Whiting has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. She has made a verbal commitment to play basketball on scholarship at the University of Oregon beginning in the fall of 2023.

Exemplary Character
