“Guys like him don’t come around often. He’s a 6-foot-6 lefty who throws the ball 98 miles per hour and can drop a slider or curve for a strike in any count. How can any high school hitter do anything with that? He’s nasty.”
Steve Reynolds
Head Coach - Lincoln High School head coach

Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-6, 215-pound senior left-handed pitcher compiled a 6-1 record with a 0.59 ERA to lead the Hawks to a 19-1 record and a berth in Rhode Island’s Division I state baseball tournament. Clemmey struck out 84 batters in 35.2 innings and allowed just seven hits to 137 batters faced entering the playoffs. He is ranked as the No. 15 prospect in the Class of 2023 by Perfect Game, No. 2 prospect in New England by PrepBaseballReport.com and the No. 45 overall prospect in the 2023 MLB Draft by Baseball America.

Academic Achievement

Clemmey has maintained a B average in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball on scholarship at Vanderbilt University this fall, but is projected to be an early round selection in July’s 2023 Major League Baseball Draft.

Exemplary Character

Clemmey has volunteered locally with the Southern Area Special Olympics as well as on behalf of multiple baseball camps as an instructor.
