“Addison Moore three-peated at states in authoritative fashion and ran well at major regional meets last fall. When you win a state title by nearly 48 seconds and go sub-18 in six of seven 5K races, you’ve got a shot to win Gatorade POY and that’s something Moore has now done three times.”

Athletic Excellence

Now a three-time Gatorade Player of the Year, the 5-foot-4 senior 3-peated as Class 3A state champion this past season, clocking a course and class record time of 17:38.4 to post a striking 47.99-second margin of victory. Moore also crossed the line 17th at the prestigious Great American XC Festival last fall. A four-time AAU national champion, she’s also won a pair of indoor track and field state titles.

Academic Achievement

Moore has maintained a weighted 4.12 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a written letter of athletic aid to run at Lipscomb University this fall.

Exemplary Character

A devoted Leadership Team Member of her school’s chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Moore has volunteered extensively on behalf of the Southland Christian Church, including participating in a service-mission trip. She has also donated her time as a peer tutor and assistant cross country coach at Huntertown Elementary in addition to the Catholic Action Center. She was recently recognized as a scholar student-athlete by the Woodford County Board of Education and by Woodford County Executive/Judge James Kay in addition to being an invited guest at the state’s inaugural Governor’s Parade.
