The 6-foot, 170-pound senior left-handed pitcher and centerfielder batted .370 with 16 RBI, 23 runs scored, 15 stolen bases and a .562 on-base percentage this past season, leading the Cadets (26-6) to a fifth consecutive Washington Catholic Athletic Conference title. On the mound, he posted a 2-1 record with a 1.23 earned run average, fanning 32 batters while surrendering just 13 hits and seven walks in 22 innings pitched. A two-time First-Team All-WCAC selection, Tsakounis threw a complete-game shutout in Game 2 of the best-of-three WCAC championship series and hit three doubles in the deciding Game 3.
Tsakounis has maintained a 3.25 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play baseball on scholarship at the College of William & Mary.
Tsakounis has volunteered locally with a Catholic Youth Organization basketball team and he has donated his time visiting and working with the elderly at Knollwood Military Retirement Community.
