The 6-foot-6, 300-pound senior offensive and defensive tackle had led the Bulldogs to a 12-0 record and a berth in the Class 3 semifinals at the time of his selection. Rice recorded 145 pancake blocks through 12 games, opening holes for an attack that is averaging 47.7 points and 216 yards rushing per game. He also contributed 35 tackles—four for a loss—and two sacks defensively. A two-time All-State honoree, Rice has been selected to play in the 2022 All-American Bowl. He is ranked as the nation’s No. 13 recruit in the Class of 2022 by ESPN.
Rice has maintained a 3.13 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play football on scholarship at the University of North Carolina next fall.
A devoted member of his church community, Rice has served as a mentor for younger students and has volunteered locally on behalf of youth football camps.
