The 7-foot-1, 200-pound junior center led the Mountain Lions to a 23-9 record and the Class 4A state championship this past season. Staton averaged 13.8 points, 14.0 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game and was a First Team All-Desert League selection. He participated in a U.S. Men’s Basketball Junior National Team minicamp last fall and he’s ranked as the No. 22 recruit in the Class of 2025 by 247Sports and Rivals.
Staton has maintained a weighted 4.03 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
Staton has volunteered locally as a Sierra Vista school ambassador and has donated his time to multiple community service initiatives through his church youth group.
