At the time of his selection, the 5-foot-10, 190-pound junior right-handed pitcher and infielder had led the Quakers (11-11-1) to the No. 9 seed and the opening round of the double-elimination Division 1 state tournament. Haggerty compiled a 4-3 record on the mound through 23 games with a 0.89 ERA, 72 strikeouts and just 12 walks in 47.1 innings pitched. After the tournament's opening round, he owned a batting average of .400 with 26 runs scored and nine RBI, producing a .529 on-base percentage.
Haggerty has maintained a 3.47 weighted GPA in the classroom. He has made a verbal commitment to play baseball on scholarship at the University of Florida beginning in the fall of 2027.
Haggerty has volunteered locally with the Moses Brown Christian Affinity Group, which helps raise funds for local nonprofit organizations, among other initiatives. He has also donated his time as a youth baseball instructor, coaching all ages of players.
