The 5-foot-9, 130-pound senior won a two-mile title at the Nike Outdoor Nationals this past season, breaking the tape with a time of 8:53.02. Brown also swept the 1600- and 3200-meter events at the Class A state meet, clocking winning times of 4:10.68 and 9:11.76, respectively. He was among a select few prep boys to finish the season ranked among the Top 100 nationally in five events: the mile, two-mile, 800, 1600 and 3200.
Brown has maintained a weighted 4.09 GPA in the classroom. He will attend Princeton University this fall, where he will compete in track and field.
Brown has volunteered locally at a community center for the intellectually and physically challenged and participated in a three-week service-mission in Tanzania to build a locker room and coach underserved kids who play soccer.
