Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound senior guard led the Lions (26-1) to the program’s first Division 2 tournament title in 25 years and a run to the semifinals of the statewide championship tournament this past season. McNamara averaged 24.8 points, 12.9 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 3.0 steals and was named MVP of the Division 2 championship game. He shot 59.3 percent from the field and will graduate as Lincoln’s career scoring leader with 1,445 points.

Academic Achievement

McNamara has maintained a 4.08 GPA in the classroom. He has made a verbal commitment to attend Brown University, where he will play basketball, this fall.

Exemplary Character

The senior class president, McNamara has volunteered locally on behalf of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Northern Rhode Island, serving as a childcare-giver as well as a youth coach, referee and mentor. He has also donated his time visiting local elementary schools for “High Five Fridays,” greeting elementary school students as they start their final weekday.
