The state’s returning Gatorade Boys Track & Field Athlete of the Year, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound senior took second in the discus at the USATF Junior Olympics last summer. A two-time USA Track & Field Nebraska Association Junior Olympic Athlete of the Year, Brown also placed ninth in the discus at the 2019 New Balance Nationals Outdoor. His personal-best throw of 192 feet in the event at the Lincoln Public Schools Open ranked as the nation’s No. 16 mark among prep competitors during the 2019 spring season.
Brown has maintained a weighted 3.44 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to compete on an athletic scholarship at the University of Nebraska.
Brown has volunteered locally with the YMCA of Lincoln and as a youth track coach.
