The 5-foot-9, 175-pound senior shortstop led the Hornets (29-2) to the Class 7A state championship game, scheduled for May 23. Ezell batted .526 with six home runs, 45 runs, 41 RBI and a 1.103 slugging percentage through 31 games. A 2013 First Team All-St
