At the time of his selection, the 5-foot-11, 185-pound senior outfielder had led the Eagles (29-7) to a berth in Georgia’s Class 6A state final this spring. Condon batted .504 with nine homers, 42 RBI and 17 doubles through 36 games, adding 15 steals. Ranked as the nation’s No. 14 prospect in his class by Prep Baseball Report, he is the No. 17 overall prospect in the upcoming MLB draft according to ESPN and the No. 20 prospect per Baseball America, which also named him a Preseason First Team All-American.
Condon has maintained a B average in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play baseball at the University of Tennessee this fall but is projected as an early round selection in July's Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft.
Condon has volunteered locally as a mentor to youth groups in addition to donating his time as a baseball instructor.
