The 6-foot-1 junior throws specialist swept the discus and the shot put events at the Division 1 state meet this past season with personal-best performances in both disciplines. Kral launched the discus 162 feet, two inches—the nation’s No. 14 distance among girls prep competitors this spring. She followed with a 46-7.75 effort in the shot put, which ranked No. 27 nationally and bettered her previous best by nearly four feet.
Kral has maintained a weighted 3.78 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her senior year of high school this fall.
Kral has volunteered locally on behalf of the Salvation Army during the holiday season, ringing the bell to raise money for those in need. She has also served on her school’s Student Council as well as its Link Crew, which assists freshmen in acclimating to high school.
