The 6-foot-3, 220-pound senior quarterback passed for 1,577 yards and 17 touchdowns this past season, leading the Highlanders (9-3) to the Class AAAA postseason quarterfinals. He also rushed for 899 yards and 10 scores, averaging 8.9 yards per carry. On defense, he recorded 31 tackles, 5 pass breakups, and 3 interceptions, including a pick-6.
Wilson has maintained a 4.64 weighted GPA in the classroom. He has made a verbal commitment to receive athletic aid to play football at Clemson University next fall, where he will play wide receiver.
Wilson has volunteered locally on behalf of the Special Olympics, the YMCA and as a youth sports official. He has also donated his time packing food for the homeless, while his school senior passion project involves supporting youth sports in the City of Huntington.
