The 6-foot-3, 180-pound senior forward led the Jaguars to a 21-0-2 record and the Class 7A state championship this past season. Nichols scored 20 goals and passed for nine assists including one tally in Madison Central’s 2-0 win over Biloxi High in the state final. A First Team All-State selection, he concluded his prep soccer career with 33 goals and 16 assists.
Nichols has maintained an A average in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play soccer at Meridian Community College this fall.
A member of his school’s chapter of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Nichols has volunteered locally as a youth soccer coach and counselor. He has also donated his time to multiple community service initiatives through his church congregation.
