The 5-foot-4 junior soared 19 feet, 5.25 inches to win the long jump and leapt 39-7.5 to capture the triple jump at the Class 4A state championship meet this spring. Murphy also finished second in the triple jump and third in the long jump at the New Bala
Murphy has maintained a weighted 4.37 GPA in the classroom.
A devoted member of her church community and a math tutor in her school, she has volunteered locally on behalf of Habitat for Humanity and youth sports programs.
