The 5-foot-10 sophomore left-handed pitcher and first baseman had led the Spartans to a 23-4 record at the time of her selection. Supple posted a 14-3 mark in the circle with a 1.02 earned run average and 181 strikeouts in 117 innings pitched through 27 games. She was 13-0 with a 0.25 ERA against in-state opponents, averaging nearly two strikeouts per inning. At the plate, Supple owned a .533 batting average with 12 doubles, five home runs, 44 runs scored and an .870 slugging percentage.
Supple has maintained a 3.43 GPA in the classroom. She has made a verbal commitment to play softball on scholarship at Northwestern University beginning in the fall of 2019.
A blogger for FloSoftball.com, Supple has volunteered locally with special-needs students at Oshkosh North High and as a youth softball coach. Her focus and maturity level are far beyond her years. Syd is always locked in and focuses on the task at hand."
