The 6-foot-4, 190-pound senior left-handed pitcher and first baseman had led the Raiders to a 12-4 record at the time of his selection. Hajjar owned a 2-1 record with a 0.26 earned run average and 41 strikeouts in 27 innings pitched through 16 games, allowing just 12 hits and one walk. He had surrendered just two unearned runs in his five starts. At the plate, Hajjar produced a .350 batting average with 11 runs scored, a .490 on-base percentage and a .500 slugging percentage. The 2017 Merrimack Valley Conference Player of the Year, he has led the Raiders to three straight MVC titles.
Hajjar has maintained a weighted 4.39 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play baseball on scholarship at the University of Michigan this fall.
Hajjar has volunteered locally at a soup kitchen and homeless shelter.
