At the time of his selection, the 6-foot, 170-pound senior guard had led the Cubs to a 19-4 record and a berth in the Division 1, District 25 championship game. Wilson had averaged 22.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.3 steals per game through 23 contests. A three-time All-Catholic League selection and a 2022 Detroit Free Press Division 1 First Team All-State honoree, he entered the district title game with 1,411 points in his prep basketball career.
Wilson has maintained a B average in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball on scholarship at the University of Toledo this fall.
Wilson has volunteered locally as a student ambassador at U of D Jesuit. He has also donated his time on behalf of the Franciscan Outreach Food Bank and as a youth basketball coach.
