“Simon is one of the most incredible athletes and incredible teammates that I’ve ever observed in 20 years of coaching. At the Walla Walla Legends Invite, they had to move the entire discus flight off campus because he was throwing too far for the facility.”
Matt Blaine
Head Coach - Gonzaga Preparatory School

Athletic Excellence

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound senior throwing talent set state records in the discus and shot put this past season. Rosselli won the discus at the Nike Outdoor Nationals and his state-record winning throw of 225 feet, 8 inches at that meet ranked No. 1 nationally among prep boys competitors this spring and No. 5 in prep history. He also set the state mark in the shot at the Legends Twilight Invitational with his mark of 68 feet, 9 inches, which ranked No. 3 nationally this spring. He won both the discus and shot at the Class 4A state meet, leading the Panthers to the state team title, and was the discus champion at the USATF Under-20 Championships, earning himself a spot at the Under-20 World Championships in August in Oregon.

Academic Achievement

Rosselli has maintained a 3.98 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to compete at the University of Oregon this fall.

Exemplary Character

Roselli has volunteered locally serving meals to the underprivileged during the holiday season and as a scholar-athlete consultant at a school district career fair. He has also donated his time coaching youth football and track athletes in addition to serving as part of the down-and-distance chain gang at football games and assisting with his Iron Wood Track Club’s meets. A member of the National Honor Society, he has been an invited speaker at district middle schools to articulate the key elements of becoming a successful student-athlete.
