The 5-foot-7 senior won the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.91 seconds and the 300-meter intermediate hurdles in 40.31 seconds at the state championship meet this past season. Anderson's winning time in the 300 hurdles ranked as the nation's No. 3 performance among prep competitors in 2017 at the time of her selection, and was seventh-fastest in U.S. high school history. Her season-best time of 51.99 in the 400, recorded at the Mt. SAC Relays, ranked No. 2 nationally this season.
Anderson has maintained a 3.24 GPA in the classroom. She remains undecided upon a collegiate destination.
Anderson has volunteered locally on behalf of track and field clinics and youth running programs. "One of the most impressive things about Shae is her dedication to working out, which is consistently five hours a day," said Norco coach Wade Lockett. "When she goes into a big meet, she treats it like a regular meet. She stays neutral and she doesn't let it get into her head."
