The 5-foot-11, 160-pound senior concluded his prep track career with seven state championships and the state record in the 100-meter dash with a clocking of 10.50 seconds. Spencer was unbeaten in the 100- and 200-meter dash during the 2019 outdoor season and set 12 meet and stadium records as a junior. A four-sport athlete who competed in both track and baseball during the spring, Spencer set meet records in the 100 and 200 at the 2019 Class AA outdoor state championships, eclipsing standards previously held by his brother and, prior to that, his father.
Spencer has maintained a weighted 4.0 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to compete on an athletic scholarship at the University of North Carolina.
Spencer organized a fundraiser to benefit a Weir High classmate diagnosed with cancer. He has volunteered locally as a youth tutor and track coach.
