The 5-foot-10, 190-pound senior shortstop led the Crusaders to a 16-8 record this past season and a berth in the Division I state semifinals. He batted .403 with one home run while scoring 21 runs and driving in 16 more. Yamaguchi tied for the Division I lead in hits (27) and also stole 14 bases. The No. 3 player in Hawaii in the Class of 2024 according to Prep Baseball Report, he was named the Interscholastic League of Honolulu Player of the Year.
Yamaguchi has maintained a 4.06 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball on scholarship at the University of Nevada this fall.
Yamaguchi has volunteered locally as part of food-donation drives and on behalf of the Meals on Wheels program. He has also donated his time as a youth mentor and to family fundraising events for Palisades Elementary School.
