The 5-foot-10, 140-pound junior forward led the Mustangs to a 19-3-3 record and the Open Division state championship this past season. Hobbi scored 40 goals and passed for 14 assists, including one of each in Sunrise Mountain’s 4-3 overtime win over Mica Mountain High in the state final. The Arizona Republic Player of the Year, he was a First Team All-Conference 5A selection and concluded his junior year with 60 goals and 29 assists in his prep career.
Hobbi has maintained a 3.16 GPA in the classroom. He will begin his senior year of high school his fall.
Hobbi has volunteered locally as a peer tutor and he has donated his time as a youth soccer coach and referee.
