The 6-foot-4, 175-pound senior guard led the Bluebirds to a 30-4 record and the state championship this past season. Vinson averaged 22.3 points, 8.9 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 2.6 steals and 1.9 blocks per game while connecting on 56.7 percent of his field-goal attempts. Vinson tallied 20 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists in Highlands’ 79-60 win over Elizabethtown High in the state final to earn State Tournament MVP honors. The 9th Region Player of the Year, he concluded his prep basketball career with 1,791 points.
Vinson has maintained a weighted 4.04 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to play basketball on scholarship at Northern Kentucky University this fall.
Vinson has volunteered locally at a soup kitchen, and he has donated his time on behalf of community beautification projects and as a youth basketball coach.
