The 5-foot-10, 155-pound senior forward led the Greyhounds to a 20-4 record and the Class 2 state championship this past season. Leonard scored 19 goals and passed for 10 assists, including setting up a goal in Clayton’s 3-0 win over St. Michael’s High in the state final. The Class 2 co-Offensive Player of the Year, he was also the Suburban Central Conference Player of the Year in his lone year of playing high school soccer instead of club only.
Leonard has maintained a 3.56 in the classroom. He has signed a written letter of athletic aid to play soccer at Creighton University this fall.
Leonard has volunteered locally with SPENSA, a non-profit soccer program for young people with special needs.
