The 5-foot-7 sophomore distance talent swept the 800, 1600 and 3200-meter events at the KSHSAA State Championship this past season, leading the Vikings to a fourth-place finish as a team. Miller ranked among the nation’s top five sophomores nationally in the 1500 and 3200 disciplines this spring, and her personal-best times in the 1500 (4:26.58), the 3200 (10:13.97) and the 800 (2:10.25) all rank in the top three in state history.
Miller has maintained a weighted 4.15 GPA in the classroom. She will begin her junior year of high school this fall.
A member of her school’s Key Club, Miller has volunteered locally helping to organize elementary school pen pal programs and Easter Egg hunts in addition to serving as a guest reader at elementary schools. She has also donated her time as an assistant youth soccer coach as well as by assisting at various sports tournaments and camps.
