At the time of his selection, the 6-foot-3, 225-pound senior quarterback had led the Bulldogs to a 12-1 record and a berth in the CIF Division 1-AA North Regional championship game. The state’s returning Gatorade Player of the Year, Lyons passed for 3,073 yards and 33 touchdowns while also rushing for 239 yards and 12 scores through 12 games, leading Folsom to a second straight Sac-Joaquin Section Division I Tournament title. Ranked as the nation’s No. 21 recruit in the Class of 2026 by 247Sports.com, he is a two-time Sacramento Bee Player of the Year.
Lyons has maintained a 4.0 GPA in the classroom. At the time of his selection, he had made a verbal commitment to receive athletic aid to play football at Brigham Young University after completing his Mormon mission.
Lyons has volunteered locally as a youth football coach and has also donated his time to multiple community service initiatives through his church youth group.
