The 6-foot-2, 215-pound senior utility infielder and right-handed pitcher led the Patriots (20-6) to the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference tournament. Archibald batted .538 (35-for-65), cranking seven home runs with 30 RBI, 27 runs scored, five stolen bases, a .590 on-base percentage and a slugging percentage of 1.590. On the mound, Archibald went 3-1 with a save while striking out 38 batters and walking just 10 over 27.2 innings. A 2017 All-Harford County First Team honoree in 2017, Archibald was a preseason All-State selection this spring by the Maryland State Association of Baseball Coaches.
Archibald has maintained a weighted 3.85 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a national letter of intent to play baseball on scholarship at the University of Arizona this fall.
Archibald has donated his time to organizing the first annual Josh Hamer Memorial Scholarship Tournament and Home Run Derby, where he and teammate Grant Astle raised over $10,000 to go toward a scholarship fund dedicated to honoring the legacy of Hamer, a John Carroll student who died in a car accident in 2017. He has also volunteered locally at youth baseball clinics.
