The 6-foot-1, 163-pound junior broke a 19-year-old state meet record in the 110-meter high hurdles with a time of 14.20 seconds in the preliminary round at the state meet this past season. Cadiz finished first in 110 hurdles final in 14.53 and won the 300-meter intermediate hurdles in 38.9.
Cadiz has maintained a B average in the classroom. Will begin his senior year of high school this fall.
A member of the Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps, Cadiz has volunteered locally on behalf of a food bank and youth sports programs.
