The 6-foot-1 senior guard and forward led the Trojans to a 26-3 record and the Class 6A state championship this past season. Davis averaged 26.3 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.9 steals per game and clicked for 26 points and 11 rebounds in Ribault's 72-31 win over Lakewood High in the state final. A McDonald's All-American selection, Davis was the 2016 Class 5A Player of the Year as well as the 2015 Class 4A Player of the Year and was part of three state titles in four years.
Davis has maintained a weighted 4.02 GPA in the classroom. She has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball on scholarship at the University of Tennessee beginning this fall.
The secretary of the Ribault High National Honor Society, Davis is also a member of her school's Latin Club. "This year Rennia took her game to new heights," said Derrell Johnson, head coach of R.E. Lee High. "The ability to shoot the ball from deep, along with her ability to put the ball on the floor, made her unguardable."
