The 5-foot-6, 171-pound senior running back led the Rams to a 15-0 record and the Division III state championship this past season. Hargrove rushed for 2,264 yards and 30 touchdowns and caught 11 passes for 235 yards and four scores. The Division III co-Offensive Player of the Year and the runner-up for Ohio’s Mr. Football award, he concluded his prep football career with 7,367 rushing yards, which ranks seventh in state history.
Hargrove has maintained a weighted 3.10 GPA in the classroom and represents one of the state’s top academic candidates in meeting the Gatorade award’s broad criteria. He has verbally committed to play football on scholarship at Bowling Green University in the fall of 2018.
Hargrove has volunteered locally as a peer tutor and he has donated his time as part of multiple community-beautification projects. “Ra’veion Hargrove is dangerous in both the passing and running game,” said Derek Hauk, head coach of West Carrollton High. “He is one of the most talented players I have seen in 10 years of coaching.”
