The 5-foot-3 freshman raced to the Class 4A individual state championship this past season with a time of 18:05.5, leading the Wildcats to the state title as a team. Gibbons also broke the tape at the FSU Pre-State Invitational, the Astronaut Invitational
Gibbons has maintained a 3.57 GPA in the classroom.
A member of her school's Beta Club, Gibbons has volunteered locally on behalf of Ronald McDonald House Charities and charity road races.
