The state’s two-time returning Gatorade Runner of the Year and the 2019-20 Gatorade Boys Track & Field Athlete of the Year, the 6-foot-1, 140-pound senior won the Class 3A state meet for a third-straight year this past season with a time of 15:48.76, breaking the tape 42.56 seconds ahead of his next-closest competitor and leading the Braves to a second-place finish as a team. Visser set a state record of 14:56.8 with his second-place finish at the Hydrangea Ranch Time Trial in Tillamook, Ore., and he also placed seventh at the XC Town USA Meet of Champions.
Visser has maintained a 3.98 GPA in the classroom. He has signed a National Letter of Intent to run cross country on scholarship at Weber State University this fall.
Visser works at his family bicycle store. He has volunteered locally as part of community beautification projects and he has donated his time to multiple community service initiatives through his church youth group.
